The Premier Arts Academy is constantly growing and expanding our extra-curricular activity options for our students. Please see the current options below and check back for updates in the future!
PAA Choir will be starting Tuesday, Sept. 10th, Grades 4th-7th
2:30-3:15pm Tuesday/Thursday for 4th/5th Grades
3:15-4:00pm Tuesday/Thursday for 6th/7th Grades
 
 
The PAA Choir can expect to perform at:
• School Community Expos
• Holiday Caroling
• Other community events upon request

Zella Ricks has a deep love for leading and being a part of singing groups! Some of her experiences include obtaining a music education and vocal degree. being in an a cappella vocal jazz ensemble in college, Sam Houston University and Houston Chorale, and directing multiple elementary and middle school ensembles/choir/youth musicals. Zella is a huge proponent of building healthy technique for best tone, breath support, full sound, sight-reading, and musicality skills to enable our best and truest voice to shine! Choir will be singing and exploring a variety of music styles as well as building fundamental musicianship skills. She is excited about leading the PAA choirs and having a fun and transformative growth process.

PAA Drama Club will begin Monday, Sept. 9th

Grades 3rd-5th

2:30-3:45pm Mondays during the school year

Participants can expect to learn about all aspects of theatre through interactive, hands-on activities. Students can expect to perform at Community Expos.

 

Please send a one-time participation fee of $20 cash or check (made out to Premier Arts Academy) with your student. This payment should be delivered to the Front Office. You may also pay via credit card through this form. This fee goes toward a PAA Drama Club t-shirt and other choir costs.

 

Students will stay after school on Mondays and meet in the Theatre/Dance Studio at the Student Annex.

Students will be dismissed from the Annex and get picked up in the North parking lot (near the Annex corner of the parking lot)

 

PAA Soccer Club will begin Monday, Sept. 9th

Grades 4th-7th

2:45-4:00pm Mondays & Wednesdays 9/9 - 10/16, Tournament on 10/26

Instructor: Mr. Sheets

Athletes in grade 4-7 will engage in developing fundamental soccer skills and strategies. They will foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude among players. This will culminate in a PAA Soccer showcase (games & tournament).

Students will be dismissed from the main building and get picked up in the sorth parking lot (near the Gym doors).

PAA Running Club will begin Tuesday, Sept. 10th

Grades 4th-7th

2:45-4:00pm Tuesdays & Thursdays 9/10- 10/17 with a PAA 3K/5K on 9/26

The PAA Running Club aims to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy habits through running. The club is designed for students in grades 4-7, providing them with a fun, supportive environment to develop their running skills, endurance, and overall well-being. This will culminate in a PAA 3K or 5 K running event.

PAA Broadcast Club will begin Wednesday, Sept. 18th

Grades 4th-7th

3:00-4:30pm Wednesdays during the school year

This year we are thrilled to introduce ‘Broadcast Club’ led by Ms. J and Mr. Q.

Ms. J has several years of on-screen and broadcast experience including hosting “HomeTown Living” on WSBT-TV. Mr. Q is our brand new Digital Arts Teacher and brings a diverse skill set in video production, music production, podcasting and more. 

 

We are looking for a select team of 4th-7th grade students who will produce, edit, film and host PAA-TV (Morning Announcements). Applicants will be notified if accepted for Broadcast Club via email by Friday, Sept. 13th.

 

Broadcast Club will meet weekly on Wednesdays from 3:00-4:30 at PAA. Cost for students will be $20 which will cover the cost of their T-shirt and any supplies needed. 

 

Interested students will need to fill out the Broadcast Club application and have one adult (classroom teacher, PAA staff, pastor, community member ect.) fill out the student recommendation form on their behalf. Registration closes **Monday  Sept. 9th**

 

Students will be dismissed from the main building and get picked up in the south parking lot (near the Gym doors).
